Practical Support

We recognise that this is an anxious and distressing time for all. As a church, we want to do all we can to help support our local community.

We would love to help provide practical support in any of the following ways, or link you up with help in the local area:

  • Picking up shopping
  • Posting letters or other mail
  • Urgent supplies
  • A friendly phone call
  • Prayer

We recognise that coronavirus is an infectious disease. Therefore, in any support we give, we will abide by the most up-to-date government advice as far as possible.

If you would like support in any of the ways listed above, contact the church office (email office@ssp.church or call 608 3638, Mon-Fri 9.30-12.30) or Matt the vicar (email matt@ssp.church or call 608 1808).

Wirral Emergency Food Hub

The Council is joining forces with Wirral Foodbank to make sure vulnerable local people don’t go hungry during the new national lockdown.

All requests for emergency food will be managed through the Council’s Coronavirus helpline (tel. 0151 666 5050). Under the new system all applicants will be asked a few questions to determine their need and, if successful, will have a food hamper delivered to their door containing a week’s supply of essential items, including fruit and vegetables, dried and tinned food.

You can find more information here, about how to support and donate directly to the Foodbank.
