Resources

As the Coronavirus outbreak continues, we have added some resources here that you may wish to use at home for your personal devotion and prayers.

Why would God allow Covid?

Here is a short video recording of an answer given at one of our Quiz Nights:

Morning & Evening Prayer

Below is a short video, introducing Morning and Evening Prayer.

The Church of England has produced this liturgy to download, which contains short services of worship to be prayed at home, in the morning and evening.

You can also access some short devotional videos here, coming from the vicar's study each evening.

If you would appreciate a copy of Daily Prayer to use at home during the pandemic, please do get in touch.

Evening Devotions

Our short videos for evening prayer with a devotional thought are all available on our YouTube Channel here. New videos are posted most Tuesdays and Thursdays.

For Kids

We often use music by Colin Buchanan at the 9.15am service. He has made some material available for famailes who are at home at the moment. Or watch one of his videos below.

Made available by Compassion (Compassion Ambassador Colin Buchanan is passionate about helping kids to understand that despite what is going on in the world—whatever our circumstances—God is bigger, and we can put our trust in Him).

We have also put together some of our short kids' slot videos, like the one below. Find more on YouTube.

Prayers for making a Spiritual Communion

Attached below is a pdf booklet containing a short liturgy wiht verses of scripture and prayers for you to use at home as we remember Jesus' precious priomise,

"surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20)

Because of Jesus' saving death and glorious resurrection,

"Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need" (Hebrews 4:16)

A prayer from the Church of England.

Keep us, good Lord, under the shadow of your mercy in this time of uncertainty and distress. Sustain and support the anxious and fearful, and lift up all who are brought low; that we may rejoice in your comfort knowing that nothing can separate us from your love in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer from +Keith Sinclair, and the Archdeacons

God our shepherd,
you led us and saved us in times of old;
do not forget your people in their troubles,
but raise up your power
to sustain the poor and helpless;
for the honour of Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen.
